Some of the feedback received after the meeting…..

I really enjoyed last night’s session, and found the topic’s to be refreshing and really quite unique.

Deborah’s statistics, plus Muir’s refreshing data and ideas, and finally Billy’s very salient points for the industry together made for a really good session.

There is so much ‘group-think’ in Pensions, and so I especially appreciated the session.

I really, really enjoyed last night’s session. With all due respect to Deborah and Billy, who were both very good (particularly Deborah who’d had more time to prepare), Muir completely stole the show for me. His delivery, with minimal slides and maximum message, the constructiveness and positivity of it and the fact that it was something completely different and yet especially relevant – it has all really set me thinking, for work, customers, proposition, for myself personally and others. I know I didn’t pipe up but I am still processing it all and probably will continue to for days – I can only guess that’s why no one did, either. The Network is exceptional when you find that magic combination as you did with Muir last night.

Thank you for sending me the invitation. I did enjoy the session and Muir Grey was really good taking a very different perspective on things.

I am sorry, I wasn’t able to stay for the last session. The first talk was excellent as ever. The doctor was less impressive (speaking as someone who hates exercise but it wasn’t only the message).

The second presentation was excellent. Good speaker, great story, simple but effective visuals. All in all superb. It helped that I agreed with everything he said!

A few quick points

  • The short-but-often model continues to work well. More than 90 minutes on a video call would be a trial for everyone.
  • 3 speakers were sufficient, at least for the topic this time. That allowed each fully to develop their themes, and to expand on their intersections.
  • You won’t need me to tell you that Sir Muir is a star. I hope he wasn’t too disappointed by the limited reaction to his call to action (and if he was, he doesn’t strike me as someone who will dwell on it) which would be a natural fit as part of accumulation-phase comms.
