TPNW  virtual panel session – Thurs 8th July 2021

Feedback – TPNW – July

Although the pensions simplification debate was excellent, and with a great line up, I personally found last night’s session more interesting and enlightening.  I definitely wasn’t expecting that to happen.

The Zoom sessions this year have been excellent and well worth attending.

It was a very informative evening with lots of facts and figures to absorb. It was good to get a new “unbiased view” regarding why furloughing was an essential choice which was “popularist” but was the only thing the government could do to protect the economy so did not show the government in a good light when highlighted in this way.

I think it’s a shame that last night’s meeting wasn’t better attended as all three speakers were absolutely excellent.  I think it was a very thought provoking and enlightening debate with plenty of interesting material.  The time went quickly and I could have listened to the speakers for a lot longer.

I thought the meeting was very informative. The only small point I would mention is I found it difficult to keep up with the pace reading some of the graphs.  Asides from this, it was very good and I look forward to attending future meetings. response: the slides are in the ‘members only’ section of the website for browsing at your leisure
